Building for the long haul
We broke records again in 2023 with our annual conference officially selling out.
We were also generously supported by our sponsors, selling out all of our sponsorship packages for the conference.
And our attendees were well rewarded with a strong line-up of speakers all delivering fascinating presentations on the challenges being faced by our industry at present.
The highlight was the annual Economic Update by Westpac economist Justin Smirk – a critical analysis of the current state of the economy and how it relates to fluctuations in our industry, followed by some forecasting of where we are headed and how to “Get Ready” in this economic time of transition.
The State of the Industry report was another highlight, expertly delivered for the first time by Kynetec’s Melinda Haley. It was an engaging and valuable review for dealers on the recent sales figures, and of course predictions as to where we are headed for the rest of 2023 and beyond.
Importantly, we used the conference to launch our Awareness Campaign – a marketing campaign to raise awareness of career opportunities within our industry. We are not alone in our desperate need to attract fresh faces into our industry, but as highlighted by PIEFA’s Luciano Mesiti in his presentation on the day, the industry needs to be providing resources and working with education institutions to “compete” for these up and coming candidates.
